Terms of Service
Introduction
Welcome to SuperEgo / 超我 (the “App”). Please read these Terms carefully. By tapping Agree or continuing to use the App, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
1. Service Description
SuperEgo is an AI-driven life coach:
- Onboarding questionnaire to define your core values, vision and habits.
- Turns “the person you want to become” into executable daily tasks.
- An AI coach (your future self) accompanies you via chat.
- Alignment score, milestones, retrospectives, HealthKit integration.
2. Account
- Sign-in is via Apple ID.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your device and your Apple ID.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
- Some advanced features (deep alignment analytics, full coach conversations, milestone artbook, …) require a paid subscription.
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store; pricing, renewal and cancellation rules are shown in App Store.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless auto-renew is disabled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Refunds follow Apple App Store policy.
4. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App you confirm you have read it.
5. AI Content Disclaimer
- Medical diagnosis, treatment or prescription.
- Legal advice.
- Financial or investment advice.
- Psychological counseling, therapy or crisis intervention.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or fitness of AI-generated content. Consult licensed professionals before major health, financial or life decisions.
6. Intellectual Property
- All content, design, code, UI and AI system prompts are protected by copyright, trademark and other IP rights.
- You may not copy, modify, redistribute, reverse-engineer or commercially exploit any part of the App without written permission.
- "SuperEgo" / "超我" and related marks are owned by us.
- The content you create (tasks, journal entries, conversations, questionnaire answers) remains yours; we use it only to provide the service to you.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to hack, tamper with, reverse-engineer or interfere with the App or its backend.
- Use the API for commercial scraping, mass registration, etc.
- Use jailbreak / prompt-injection techniques to bypass safety rails or generate illegal, harmful or discriminatory output.
- Distribute obscene, violent, fraudulent, harassing or otherwise infringing content.
8. Notifications
- Default reminders: daily task nudge at 07:30, weekly review every Sunday 20:00.
- You may disable notifications in Settings; related features may degrade.
- We do not send you advertising notifications.
9. Generative AI Compliance
The service involves generative AI and complies with applicable AI regulation:
- All AI output passes through keyword and content-safety filters.
- Report violations to huangxiuqinapple@sina.com.
- We may restrict abusive inputs or accounts.
10. Service Changes & Interruption
- We may modify, suspend or discontinue the service (or part of it) at any time.
- Material changes will be announced via in-app notification and on our website.
- We are not liable for interruption caused by force majeure (natural disaster, telecom failure, regulatory change, etc.).
11. Suspension & Termination
- You may terminate at any time: in-app Settings → Delete Account.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms.
- After termination, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy §7.
12. Disclaimer of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Losses caused by your breach of these Terms.
- Service interruption or data loss caused by force majeure or third parties.
- Indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from AI-generated content.
13. Modifications to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified at least 7 days in advance via in-app message and on our website. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator.
- Disputes should be resolved through friendly negotiation first; failing that, by a court of competent jurisdiction.
15. Severability
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
